UNIX sockets programming FAQ
When you're using network sockets, there are these fiddling little practical details (usually relating to error handling) that aren't defined outright in the spec or the man page or even in UNIX Network Programming. The Programming UNIX Sockets in C FAQ usually answers my questions.

I had to brush up on sockets a few weeks ago and created a little sample program to remind myself of some of the details. Patches welcome of course ;)

The UNIX Socket FAQ has more or less evolved into a forum, which can be found at www.developerweb.net. The FAQ probably didn't change much compared to the one you linked to, so reading that one is as good or better, as it probably has a more useful format.

If people still have questions, or some obscure/interesting problem, please visit the forum. The forum isn't only for network programming, although that is its main focus. It's a quiet little corner with not too much activity, but it's alive. Everyone is welcome.
